Common questions

How is the risk score calculated?

The risk score combines your diversification score (55% weight) and sector balance score (45% weight). On top of that, each concentration warning reduces the score by 15 points (up to a maximum of 40 points). This means a single warning can move your risk from "Low" to "Moderate", and multiple warnings can push it to "High" or "Very high".

What triggers a concentration warning?

Warnings are triggered when a single holding exceeds 30% of your portfolio, a single sector exceeds 50%, or a high-risk asset class (cryptocurrency or commodities) exceeds 50%. These thresholds flag situations where a downturn in one area could significantly impact your portfolio.

How does ETF look-through work?

When your portfolio includes ETFs, we fetch the underlying holdings and sector weights from the fund. This gives a more accurate picture of your actual sector exposure than treating the ETF as a single holding.

Do I need exact dollar amounts?

No. You only need the approximate percentage weight of each holding. If your weights don't add up to 100%, they will be automatically normalized.

Is my data stored?

No. Your portfolio data is only used to calculate the scores and is not saved anywhere. No account is required.
