TrackMyShares is a portfolio tracking tool that allows you to monitor your stock, ETF, and cryptocurrency holdings across US, Australian, and other markets. The service provides portfolio analytics, tax reporting tools, dividend tracking, and related features.

TrackMyShares is not a financial advisor, broker, or tax advisor. The service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All information provided through the service is for informational purposes only.

2. User responsibilities

By using TrackMyShares, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of all data you enter, including transaction details, quantities, and prices.
  • You will not rely solely on TrackMyShares for making investment, tax, or financial decisions.
  • You will use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You will not attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the service.

3. Limitation of liability

TrackMyShares is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of market data, portfolio calculations, tax reports, or any other information provided through the service.
  • We are not responsible for any investment decisions you make based on information displayed in the service.
  • We are not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses from investment decisions.
  • Tax reports and capital gains calculations are estimates only and should be verified by a qualified tax professional.

4. Third-party data

Market data, stock prices, and related financial information are provided by third-party sources. This data is provided for informational purposes only.

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of third-party data.
  • Prices are updated throughout the day but may be delayed and should not be used for trading decisions.
  • Third-party data providers may change their data availability or terms at any time, which may affect the service.

5. Account termination

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us through our support page. Upon deletion, your portfolio data, transaction history, and personal information will be permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or use the service in a way that disrupts other users or the service infrastructure.

6. Intellectual property

All content, features, and functionality of TrackMyShares, including but not limited to the user interface, design, code, and documentation, are owned by TrackMyShares and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any data you enter into the service. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data as necessary to provide the service.

7. Pricing and billing

TrackMyShares offers both free and paid subscription plans. Payment for paid plans is processed through Stripe.

  • Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.

8. Cookies and analytics consent

TrackMyShares uses analytics tools (PostHog and Google Analytics) to understand how the service is used and to improve it.

  • EU/EEA and UK users: analytics cookies are only enabled after you give explicit consent via the cookie consent banner, in compliance with GDPR and UK GDPR.
  • Users outside the EU/EEA and UK: analytics cookies are enabled by default. By continuing to use the service you consent to the collection of anonymous usage data. You may opt out at any time through your account settings.

9. Modifications to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and may notify you via email or through the service.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
